      Internal Layout and Diagram:

      Wireless Built in for Easy connectivity. For OEM Navigation function, please turn the switch off in the USB Hub.

      Be cautious to not over push and damage the switch. Gentle Switch, it is located in the small hole on the top right of the USB Hub and a toothpick is recommended to move it up and down.





        OEM Software Information

        • V3.4 of Sync 3 is Required for the Type C USB Hub to work.
        • If you need an Update Drive with your Type C USB Hub, you can combo it with these Update Drive: Update Drive

        • To find your Sync version go to: Settings - General - Scroll down and click About Sync Look on Top if it says V3.4 (Send me a photo if unsure)

            + About the USB Hub design:

            This USB Hub contains two data channels:

            One data channel is connected to the wireless CarPlay/Android Auto module.
            The other data channel is connected to the lower USB-A port.

            When Wireless CarPlay or Wireless Android Auto is in use, the system is already communicating with your phone through the wireless module. If another phone is connected to the lower USB-A port at the same time, it is equivalent to connecting two phones to the same USB data hub simultaneously, which may cause connection conflicts.

            Therefore:

            When using Wireless CarPlay or Wireless Android Auto, please use the upper USB-C fast charging port for charging only.
            Do not connect your phone to the lower USB-A port while wireless mode is active.
            The lower USB-A port can be used as a USB flash drive (media playback) port.
            If you would like to connect your phone to the lower USB-A port for wired CarPlay or Android Auto, please switch the selector to the ON position first.




            + How Wireless CarPlay / Wireless Android Auto works

            Wireless CarPlay and Wireless Android Auto do not transmit audio and video through Bluetooth.
            The connection process is:

            The phone first connects to the adapter via Bluetooth.
            Bluetooth is used only for the initial handshake and pairing process.
            After the handshake is completed, Bluetooth disconnects from the active data session.
            The adapter and phone automatically establish a Wi-Fi connection.
            Audio, video, touch commands, and other data are then transmitted through Wi-Fi.

            This is the standard operating method required by Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.


            + About Wi-Fi name changes

            It is normal for the Wi-Fi name (SSID) to change occasionally.

            The wireless module may automatically switch Wi-Fi channels to optimize signal quality and reduce interference. This channel-switching behavior is normal and does not indicate a product fault.

            USB Hub Type:

            • USB Hub will vary by vehicle year, this is due to different model years having different socket sizes for the USB hub. Most cases it is Type C USB Hubs we use, medium size slots, same Type C USB Hubs are used with a custom front face for perfect fitment and Factory look. We have both small and medium size options on checkout.

             

            Shipping and Handling Procedure:

            • All Items are fully inspected and carefully packaged before shipment. All Sync 3 Kits are tested and ensured fully functional before packaging. Regarding shipment speed, in most cases 1-2 days to have your unit shipped. In rare cases 2-6 days if parts from our local supplier are in back order but in most cases expect immediate shipping. We always inspect all systems and program ourself to ensure proper programming and functionality. Some items may be shipped by different suppliers, in those cases, items will arrive in a separate box and shipping time may vary shortly of typically 1-3 Days.
